Connemara Horses

The Connemara is a tough, hardy pony which is not particularly susceptible to adverse weather conditions. It is sure footed, and a willing worker, able to undertake almost any task. It is an ideal family pony as it it docile, patient, and easy to handle, with a good deal of fabled Irish charm. From its traditional role as a farm pony used for light work on the land, its main use today is as an excellent riding pony, hunter, hack, and trekking mount. When crossed with the Thoroughbred, the Connemara makes a superb competition horse.
